TagWorld is a social tagging community that helps users find content by topic. The website revolves around a tagging system. Users can upload images and post comments. A search bar lets users browse by keyword. Users can also click buttons to access different types of content, such as blogs, links and photos. TagWorld gives the user an overview of all content related to a tag. Just like other social networks, TagWorld lets users establish a profile and add friends. Friends lists are displayed as images on the user’s profile page. The site has set a few ground rules for its users since activity relies so heavily on the actions of others. The rules are generally what most users expect to find in any forum or network and help keep TagWorld fun for all users.

TagWorld was created to become a new way to social network. It is equipped with many of the same features as other social networks, however its emphasis on tagging makes it a little different. The application hasn’t received significant attention from internet users. Some have given it a try, but did not like the tag-focused system. Others found TagWorld to be a fun, simple alternative to other social networking websites.

A new user can join the TagWorld community by filling out the horizontal form found on the homepage. The form asks for a name, email address and password. The user can click the black “Sign Up!” button after checking the terms of service agreement box. The next page asks for the user’s surname, date of birth, nationality and gender. Users can upload an image to go with their profile and check a box to hide their age. The user is automatically logged in after submitting the form. A Facebook login option is also offered.

TagWorld is available at no cost. Anyone can join the tagging community and share content while building a friends list. The application doesn’t offer any features or functions that would convince most internet users to pay for its services. Anything TagWorld can do, many other free social networks can also do. All users receive the same level of access. No purchases are required and the user doesn’t have to recruit or take any other action to keep their account open.

TagWorld is a decent social network for anyone who loves tagging. Users who already have a Facebook account can login with their Facebook credentials. Most users will find it difficult to come up with a reason to switch from their current social network. TagWorld is also ideal for users who prefer less clutter and don’t mind fewer features. The application doesn’t offer anything to make it appealing compared to many other popular online communities.
